What is the Halloween Walk?

Why not treat yourself to a hair-raising hike around some of the London’s scary streets and historic haunts?

Choose your distance (10K, half marathon or full marathon trek), gather your bravest guys and ghouls to make up a team – or go it alone if you dare and meet up with other chilling challengers. Dress to distress, and our creepy dungeon keepers at The Oval start and finish will meet, greet and shock.

Once you escape there’s ghostly looped routes, with zombie rest stops, and if you manage to get back in one piece there’s a macabre medal, a glass of the Devil’s fizz, some horrific hot food and drink – and a souvenir bobble hat to ward off the spirits as you head off.

How do I sign up?

Sign up for the Halloween Walk via the Ultra Challenge website. 

You can either choose:

Charity sponsorship – where you pay a small registration fee and fundraise for Launchpad (select us from the drop down menu in the registration options)

OR

Mixed funding for charity – where you pay half of your registration fee, and fundraise a smaller amount for Launchpad

NB: You will be required to have raised 50% of your fundraising target eight weeks before the event as this covers the cost of your participation in the challenge.

How will I be supported as a member of #TeamLaunchpad?

We will be in touch with you after you have registered to support you every step of the way! We can offer you tips on training and lots of fundraising materials, and you’ll get a Launchpad t-shirt and goodies to say thank you for taking part on our behalf.

Day in, day out, Launchpad helps people, couples and families like you in Reading who are homeless or at risk of losing their home – and only with your kind support can we continue this vital work. Every penny you raise when you take on this challenge helps us prevent homelessness in our town.

With the rising cost of living this year, people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home are left extremely vulnerable. By taking on the South Coast Challenge and raising vital funds to support Launchpad’s services, you will be making all the difference to people who are in desperate need of help.
