London Landmarks Half Marathon

What is the London Landmarks Half Marathon?

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is a closed road, central London run and is the only half marathon to go through both the City of London and City of Westminster.

The event is not your average half marathon! From cultural landmarks and heritage to the city’s quirky and hidden secrets, runners get to explore the capital on a route like no other!

The race starts by The Strand, finishes by Downing Street and has fabulous views of London’s most iconic landmarks including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London and the London Eye.

How many places do you have?

We have some special charity places available for the half marathon so please get in touch if you’d like to take on this challenge and join Team Launchpad. If you already have your own place at the Reading Half, you are more than welcome to join our team too!  

There is no registration fee – all we ask is that you pledge to raise £250 for Launchpad.

What difference will my fundraising make?

Day in, day out, Launchpad helps people, couples and families like you in Reading who are homeless or at risk of losing their home – and only with your kind support can we continue this vital work. Every penny you raise when you take on this challenge helps us prevent homelessness in our town.

At Launchpad, we have had to cancel or postpone some of our events over the last year and our fundraising has inevitably suffered.

2022 is set to remain uncertain as the pandemic continues to leave homeless people extremely vulnerable, and we are expecting to see many more in housing crisis, with increased job losses and evictions on the horizon.

How do you support members of Team Launchpad?

You will receive a free technical t-shirt, a fundraising pack filled with ideas to help you raise money, and our dedicated fundraising team is always on hand with tips and advice throughout your training.
